HARK! The herald angels sing

In this advanced piano arrangement I maintained a congregational-style approach, meaning I generally stayed close to the harmonic texture in the hymnal. It's three verses long, with the first verse being played in a medium register. The second verse is played in a higher register, rendering a more delicate and gentle sound; you'll also hear some 2-against-3 rhythms in this section which offer some variety in the otherwise standard-sounding texture. In the final verse you will use a wider range of registers, including full octave chords in the right hand and octave bass lines in the left hand. Overall, this is a majestic and festive piano arrangement of a beloved Christmas carol.
