I Know That My Redeemer Lives - Congregational
In this digital PDF packet you will find eight (8) piano accompaniment variations on the traditional church hymn “I Know That My Redeemer Lives” suitable for congregational singing. Use these piano variations to embellish your congregational accompaniment when you wish to avoid playing the same thing over and over again :) And the best part is that you can use these tips on any hymn or song out there! By the way, you can also play these variations as piano solo prelude, offertory or postlude especially when you need a short arrangement!
NOTE: This tune is NOT the one from Händel's Messiah – that one is "I Know That My Redeemer LIVETH." The tune I used in this PDF packet is called DUKE STREET and is attributed to John C. Hatton. Check out the score previews or the video below to confirm the melody.
In these eight variations I maintained the original harmonic structure that is found in hymnals. The different variations will be on texture, register, meter, fill-ins. Also, on each page you will find the original SATB score beside the piano variation, so you can compare and see what's different from the original.
