O How I Love Jesus
Here's an advanced piano arrangement of church hymn “O, How I Love Jesus.” The first page begins in a straight-forward way with the righ thand carrying the melody and the left hand playing a standard accompaniment pattern. Starting with the second page, the right hand melody is sprinkled with passing tones that add a forward motion to the arrangement, keeping your audience engaged the entire way through. On the second verse the right hand plays an ostinato in the higher register while the left hand provides the melody and the harmony in the middle register. Before the final verse there will be an uplifting key change from E flat major to E major, then the right hand will play those same melody with passing tones but this time in octaves, thus rendering a fuller texture. At the very end the arrangement will resume the right hand ostinatos and left hand melody + chords to finish on a lighter tone.
